Ok so I'm FireSwan aka Dovey I played MMO's for a long time mostly L2 open beta, continuing on with that for 2 years after retail, and then playing on some free servers after that. I played WoW in beta but couldn't pull myself away from L2 at that time to switch. I did play some other games before L2, please don't laugh... I played Sims Online, "There", A Tale in the Desert, and after L2, Shaiya (a free MMO). Aion is the first MMO that I have paid for since L2. I have pretty much played a healer most of the time I played MMOs. I have played other classes but my favorite is still the healer. I am currently a lvl 18 Asmo Cleric on Ariel. I also have a lvl 13 assassin. I have 3 Elyos characters on Israphel, a cleric, a warrior (hasn't ascended yet) and an assassin. The Elyos are just alts that I play when my BF isn't around because he doesn't want me leveling without him.

So if you need a res on Ariel, pm Dovey if I'm online and near I probably will res you (I have a stupid quest that wants me to res 100 yes I said ONE HUNDRED people).

I'm not laughing at your previous MMO experience, because we have the same history! TSO was the first "online" game I ever played - well, unless you count Runescape, which I played for far too long. But TSO is what made me realize experiencing the game with other people is a lot more fun than playing by yourself.

I've also done "There" and "Second Life" and all those, which I'll still pop into from time to time. So, if that's laughable, then I guess we both deserve the laughs. =)

I have a lifetime membership to There so I still log in ever blue moon or so to see if anyone I know still plays, but low and behold they all moved on to other games.
